Owners
Michael Sundt and Kelly Smith decided to use their extensive restaurant
knowledge to achieve their dream of opening their own restaurant. The result
is Sunni’s Grille on Highway 12 in Howard
Lake. Prior
to opening the doors of former Reds Family Restaurant, the restaurant was
completely redesigned and remodeled.
Mike’s wife, Nicole contributed to most of the creative vision and
interior design work. The dining area,
with a warm and inviting
atmosphere has a beautiful view of Howard Lake. You'll find seasonal décor
along with several vintage Howard Lake photos featuring area residents framed and hung on the walls.
Although the remodel took longer than expected - the results were well worth
the wait. Mike
and Kelly would best describe their menu as comfort food with a twist. The
menu features classic American favorites, such as made from scratch soups, homemade
meatloaf, slow roasted pot roast and other home style cooking. You’ll
also find some specialty items like Sunni’s Grille fettuccine; Dijon crusted
walleye and baby back pork ribs. Also
a favorite on the menu is the spaghetti with meatballs. Our meatballs are made with a blend of
beef, pork, and veal to give them the unique Sunni's Grille touch. Occasionally
offered on our menu is a wonderful fresh fish special like mahi-mahi with
mango salsa. Tempting pizza, and a variety of appetizers and special desserts
are also featured. Our cooks use fresh vegetables with all entrees and take
pride in the presentation of their meals. Since
opening their doors over three years ago, Sunni's Grille has built a steady following
by adhering to our mission: "We want to make sure our guests
are happy and having a wonderful experience by serving great
quality food". The
food at Sunni’s Grille
is said to be some of the best that you will find in the area. People have been known to drive as much as
thirty miles to enjoy a meal at our restaurant. |
